This morning I decided to snap a few pictures of the seeds I've been growing indoors that have recently sprouted. After all, I'm sure you all get as excited about those little green sprouts as I do ;) So, I got a couple of nice close ups (yes, still playing with macro).
The next thing I know, there is a cow in the shot...
...then a shepherd and an elephant show up!
Matthias said they were hungry.

Ladybug Fun
Well, we are mostly all settled in the new house. Except for the boxes lining the walls of course! Today we spent the afternoon playing in the backyard (yay...we have a backyard!) and looking for ladybugs. So, here are some pictures:
And of course, while I was out there, I had some fun playing around with the camera. I'm obviously not a super proficient photographer, but I thought these were pretty fun =)
Kelsi was very helpful and kept moving our "models" to better spots. Then she decided they needed to have a little party in one of the tulips, however I made her stop after she put four of them in there ;)

The Grand Tour
We met with our new landlords last night to look at the place and get our key. We are very happy with the place =) The outside needs a bit of work, but they are planning on doing a bit of landscaping and painting the exterior now that the weather is getting better. The inside is getting painted as well, the walls that are white at least. The ones that are already painted, we are going to keep because we like the colors. There are some spots that need to be touched up though. However, they did tell us that we can paint the walls in the house whatever color we want...and they will not only pay for the paint but they will also pay us per hour for painting it! There is a nice little spot out back set aside for a garden, so Kelsi and I are excited about that. There is a garage and a shed out back which will be nice for storage, but we probably won't park the car in there because it would be more of a hassle. Ok, so now for the pictures (ok, they are very small and pretty dark, but if you want to see them all you can look at them on Picasa:

This one is still the dining room, but you can see into the Master Bedroom. All the photos of that room came out too dark (that's what happens when you take pictures with a hat on I guess lol) but it's not too exciting. You can however, see the freaky wood wall through the door.

The Plan
Alright, so the official moving day is this Saturday (the 9th). We're picking up the U-haul at 8 am, so we should be ready to start packing it up around 8:30. Any help would be appreciated! If anyone needs our current address or the address of our new place, email me (jessy.spencer AT gmail DOT com) and let me know.
We are meeting with the landlord on Wednesday and walking through the place together and getting the key. Then Daniel (in theory) has Thursday and Friday off to finish packing, so we're going to be really busy! We did find out, however, that they are going to go ahead and clean the place for us, and we still don't have to start paying rent until the 15th! That is a huge stress relief =)
Now, it's time to go do some more cleaning while Matthias is being babysat by the t.v.!

It's May!
Well that one kinda snuck up on me. With all the moving and chaos, I didn't really think about it. In the month of May we have Mother's Day and two birthdays. So, that means you guys will probably receive a store bought gift *gasp* since I won't be able to make anything. Well, I guess if you really wanted, I could make you this:
