Date Night

Last night Daniel and I sent the kids over to Grandma's house so we could spend a romantic evening with just the two of us. And the doctor...and the nurse...and the guy from Registration...and the old lady across the hall. That's right, folks, we spent the evening in the Emergency Room. I spent all day yesterday throwing up, completely unable to keep even water down. Loads of fun. Daniel called the doctor's office for me and they suggested some kind of over the counter sleep medication oddly enough. Taking half a dose was supposed to help. So I took some and lasted approximately 20 minutes before throwing it up. So, off to the hospital we went! I got hooked up to an IV, threw up, and then got some medication. Things went better after that =) By the time I left I was actually hungry! Just one more thing to add to the list of reasons to guilt trip this baby when it grows up!

Girly Hair

Hairstyles for Girls

I was telling my sister tonight about this blog, The Story of a Princess and Her Hair. She asked me to send her the link and as I was going to do so, I remembered how many of my wonderful readers have little girls too. So I'm sharing with all of you =) This is a blog that posts the most adorable hairstyles for little girls, complete with photos and instructions, even a few videos! I'm hoping to convince K-Lou to let me try out some of these styles on her. She never lets me do fun stuff, she always wants it down! Maybe if she actually sees some of the pictures she'll change her mind.

No Pictures!

A while back I realized that MZ doesn't know how to dress himself, mainly because I'm too impatient to let him! So he's been practicing:

As you can see he's doing quite well ;) He didn't like it when I pulled out the camera. "No, Mom! No pictures!"

As you can see, I didn't listen. Sadly I didn't get the camera out in time to get pictures of him trying to take off his shirt. He got both arms out of the sleeves and up through the neck hole. He looked like he was wearing a belly shirt!

My New Best Friend

Don't worry, it's not really beer. It's a really strong ginger ale and it is my new best friend. First thing in the morning I have a glass of my ginger ale and a piece of toast. It helps me not throw up as soon as I get out of bed! Plus it's really tasty. I'll probably keep drinking it even when I'm no longer sick all the time. It gives me a good excuse to use my wine glasses.
At 7.5 weeks I'm a little over halfway through the first trimester, so the end of morning sickness is in sight! Of course that's assuming it ends when it's supposed to. But this is also the "fat stage". You know what I'm talking about. The stage where your pants are starting to get too tight, but you don't quite look pregnant...just fat. It's so fun. I'm not quite ready to wear maternity pants yet (yuck!), but I did go buy some maternity shirts yesterday. Mainly just because they were on clearance. I got 2 tops at Target for about $5 each and 2 tops at Ross for only $1 each! It was pretty amusing to go through the line with that. The person in front of us spent over $80 on just a few things, then we get up there and out total is $2.12. Well, I found it amusing at least.

Random Stuff

So, I keep thinking I need to update my blog, but I don't have much to go with. Therefore, you just get a bunch of random stuff.

I'm pregnant...oh, wait I already told you that!

I've been getting sick on and off, with no real pattern to it. Lots of fun.

I pulled out my maternity clothes the other day. Not because I need them, nor because I'm anxious to wear them. Over our Christmas vacation, we moved our bedroom into one of the smaller bedrooms and made the master bedroom a game room/library. We have a lot of books and a lot of games. Since I was moving my clothes from one closet to another, I decided to just unpack my maternity clothes and pack up my summer clothes.

Yesterday I ordered some Bella Bands. Well, not real ones, they're actually "BeBella Belly Bands" or something like that. The real ones are about $20 each. I decided that's just too expensive. I was going to make my own, after all, they're basically just a tube, but then I went and checked out Etsy and Ebay to see what they had. I found a seller who was selling 4 of them for $20. I decided to go for that instead. And actually, one of them is a fancy and reversible, so it's like I got 5 =)

Last Sunday we took K-Lou to the baptism class at our church. Looks like she'll be getting baptized soon! We'll let you all know when =)

We got a TON of beef from my aunt. Daniel took pictures of all of it for me to post on our blog, but as you can see, I have not yet done so. But believe me when I say there was a lot of it. And I've never even heard of some of the different cuts! We'll be set for quite some time.

We had a late Christmas party with Daniel's side of the family. I discovered they love garlic as much as we do. I could have put more it in my dip! The kids had load of fun, there were 10 of them total. I think. It would have been easy to miss one or two of them.

Daniel left me all alone today. Something about having to work. Bah.

Anyone want to entertain me today? In case you couldn't tell, I need it!

That's about all the excitement that's happened around here in the last week. Aren't you glad I updated you?

An Update

I have been told that I've been slacking and not updating our blog. So, here's an update:
