Check!

Symptoms of Anemia during pregnancy:

* Fatigue - Check!
* Weakness - Check!
* Dizziness - Check!
* Headache - Check!
* Numbness or coldness in your hands and feet - Check!
* Low body temperature - nope, it's too hot for that!
* Pale skin - Check! (although I always have pale skin...)
* Rapid or irregular heartbeat - nope
* Shortness of breath - Check!
* Chest pain - nope
* Irritability - Double Check!
* Not doing well at work or in school - uh...

Hmm, 8 out of 12. I get to go in tomorrow and get some more tests done to make sure there's nothing other than plain old iron deficiency causing the anemia. Maybe I can see if they'll take blood from my other arm this time so that I have matching bruises ;)

Girls Night

Last night we went to Dockside for Gooeys, just us girls! What are Gooeys you may ask?

See that big thing on the front of the menu the girls are so intently studying? That's a Gooey. In case you can't tell, that is actual size!

Obviously something was rather funny. Then again, it didn't take much to make these girls laugh last night!

Aren't they beautiful? K-lou is definitely going to miss her cousins!

Ahh...the Gooeys. As you can see, we opted for the "personal size". I think K-lou's was gone in about 30 seconds.

And a picture of all us girls:

I told K-lou to stand in front of me to cover up my belly...I don't think she listened ;)

A Moses Cake

As many of you know, tomorrow is MZ's birthday. He's turning 4! Good thing Little Miss LG will be arriving soon...my little baby is no longer a baby! Well, not that he has been for a while, but you know what I mean. Anyway, we asked him what kind of cake he wants for his birthday. He wants a Moses cake. Go figure. I guess that's what happens when you deprive your poor children of TV and licensed toys! Well, mostly ;) I think his inspiration came from these:

He told me that I could share his birthday and have a Jesus cake. Thanks, MZ. So, then we had to decide how on earth we'd go about making a Moses cake. As you can imagine, there aren't a lot of ideas out there! I suggested we just make a cake and set it on fire like the burning bush...oddly that idea got shot down. Daniel suggested we just take a regular sheet cake make it look like the 10 commandments tablets. So that's what we're going with! Stay tuned for pictures this weekend =)

Octo Meme

Yes, for those of you who read The Lumberjack's Wife, I stole this from her today. But it's ok...she said to =) I've decided I need to blog more and this seemed like a good way to have a post that has to do with something other than baby stuff!

8 Things I'm Looking Forward To:
  1. Getting to meet Little Miss LG
  2. The end of summer. Yes, already. It's hot and the kiddos are bored.
  3. The mail arriving. This is pretty much a daily thing because I'm getting lots of fun stuff =)
  4. The end of July when people run out of fireworks to set off at midnight.
  5. The day when I can sleep on my stomach. Or back. Or anyway that doesn't kill my hips.
  6. The day I don't have swollen fingers or toes.
  7. The day when I can walk more than 10 feet without getting a fake contraction.
  8. The day I can cook something on the stove without the fear of setting my belly on fire.
8 Things I did yesterday (This should be exciting):
  1. Did some laundry
  2. Rested
  3. Cleaned the bathroom
  4. Rested
  5. Made lunch
  6. Rested
  7. Hung out outside with the kiddos
  8. Rested while my husband made dinner =)
8 Things I wish I could do:
  1. Breathe
  2. Lean forward
  3. Lay on my stomach
  4. Lay on my back
  5. Walk more than 10 feet without getting a fake contraction (any of this ringing a bell?)
  6. Walk up stairs without loosing my breath
  7. Sleep through the night (ha! So not happening anytime soon)
  8. Win the lottery
8 Shows I enjoy:
  1. Lost. Well, up until the last season at least.
  2. Fringe
  3. 24
  4. Um...
  5. Still thinking...
  6. Duh...
  7. Isn't this an exciting one?
  8. Those are really the only shows we watch...and 2 of them ended so now we're down to 1.
Now, doesn't your day feel complete?
