My New Best Friend

Don't worry, it's not really beer. It's a really strong ginger ale and it is my new best friend. First thing in the morning I have a glass of my ginger ale and a piece of toast. It helps me not throw up as soon as I get out of bed! Plus it's really tasty. I'll probably keep drinking it even when I'm no longer sick all the time. It gives me a good excuse to use my wine glasses.
At 7.5 weeks I'm a little over halfway through the first trimester, so the end of morning sickness is in sight! Of course that's assuming it ends when it's supposed to. But this is also the "fat stage". You know what I'm talking about. The stage where your pants are starting to get too tight, but you don't quite look pregnant...just fat. It's so fun. I'm not quite ready to wear maternity pants yet (yuck!), but I did go buy some maternity shirts yesterday. Mainly just because they were on clearance. I got 2 tops at Target for about $5 each and 2 tops at Ross for only $1 each! It was pretty amusing to go through the line with that. The person in front of us spent over $80 on just a few things, then we get up there and out total is $2.12. Well, I found it amusing at least.

way to score some deals! I always find maternity clothes at Target for so cheap! of course, I only come across them because they look like something I would want - only to find out it's maternity! but I will keep my eye out for you from now on.

Ok, well on the subject of reading, it looks like all of Daniel's books are real downers. And a little questionable in subject. Did he move to Idaho because he's one of those skinheads?!

I have heard eating raw ginger helps with morning sickness - but ginger ale sounds better! So glad you have found something that helps - 3 months can seem incredibly long when you are nauseous and throwing up
all the time. Great score on the clothes! You hate to pay much for maternity clothes because they are for such a short time period, but you do wear them alot during that short period, so you want something cute! And I remember when I was about 3.5 hours pregnant with Melissa I told someone I was pregnant and they said "obviously" I cried for days..

This pregnancy (#5, granted) I started being asked when my due date was by total strangers in the grocery store..... when I was 8 weeks pregnant. And I wasn't wearing maternity clothing yet. Embarrassing.

Seriously hope you feel better soon!!
